Publication Ethics

Jurnal Karsa Tani: Journal of Agricultural Socio-Economics is published by the Department of Agribusiness Management, Politeknik Negeri Jember. The journal is published online twice a year (April and November) and aims to disseminate original research articles and review papers focusing on the socio-economic and policy dimensions of agriculture and rural transformation.

This publication ethics statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the journal publication process, including the publisher, editors, reviewers, and authors. The journal is committed to upholding the principles of neutrality (free from conflicts of interest), fairness (appropriate recognition of authorship), and integrity (free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism).

Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher ensures that all published articles undergo proper editorial management, peer review, and production processes in accordance with academic publishing standards. The publisher guarantees editorial independence, academic freedom for editors and reviewers, and the protection of privacy, intellectual property, and copyright.

Editor Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for publication decisions based on the academic merit of manuscripts and applicable ethical and legal standards. Decisions are made objectively and without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political views. Editors maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and do not use unpublished materials for personal research purposes.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers support editors by providing objective, constructive, and evidence-based evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, identify ethical issues including plagiarism and data integrity, and refrain from using manuscript content for personal interests.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must submit original and accurate manuscripts, properly acknowledge all sources, and comply with ethical standards of scientific writing. Authors agree to editorial revisions that do not alter the substance of the manuscript.
