Author Guidelines
Karsa Tani: Journal of Agricultural Socio-Economics
- General Information
- Karsa Tani is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal published biannually (April and November).
- Manuscripts must be written in English using clear, academic language.
- Submissions may include:
- Original research articles
- Literature reviews
- Case studies
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
- Manuscript Structure
Authors should follow the structure below:
- Title
- Author(s) and affiliation(s)
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (max. 5, separated by semicolons)
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgement (if any)
- References (APA Style)
- Abstract and Keywords
- Abstract must be concise, informative, and written in one paragraph.
- It should include background, objective, method, results, and conclusion.
- Keywords should reflect the core themes of the article and not repeat words in the title.
- Formatting Requirements
- Paper size: A4
- Layout: Single column
- Margins: 2.54 cm on all sides
- Font (body text): Times New Roman, 12 pt, single spacing
- Font (headings/subheadings): Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold, 1.5 spacing
- Paragraph alignment: Justified
- Language: English
- Tables and Figures
- Should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
- Titles placed above tables and below figures.
- All tables and figures must be editable and clearly referenced in the text.
- Citation and References
- Use APA Style (7th edition).
- At least 80% of references must be from primary and recent sources (last 10 years).
- Authors are strongly encouraged to use a reference manager (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote).
- All in-text citations must match the reference list.
- Plagiarism and Ethics
- Manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening.
- The similarity index should not exceed the journal’s maximum allowed percentage (typically <20% excluding references).
- Studies involving humans, animals, or sensitive data must include an ethics approval statement.
- Submission and Review Process
- All submissions are made through the journal’s online system or designated email.
- Each manuscript will be reviewed through a double-blind peer review process.
- Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript before a final decision is made.
- Author Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of data, references, and affiliations.
- Declare any conflicts of interest.
- Obtain permission for copyrighted materials when necessary.
- Correspondence
The corresponding author is responsible for:
- Communication during submission, review, and publication stages.
- Responding to reviewer/editor queries.
- Ensuring that all co-authors approve the final manuscript.
